To convert a fraction to a percent, use a two step process.

Step 1.

Convert the fraction to a decimal. (Use a calculator.)

= ?     1 ÷ 4 = 0.25

 

Step 2.

Convert the decimal to a percent (x by 100)

0.25 x 100 = 25%
