Mathematics: Solving one-step equations

SOLVING ONE-STEP EQUATIONS

In this module you will learn how to solve equations that take one step to solve.

The video above explains the basic idea of balanced equations.

The video above from Khan Academy contains an explanation of solving equations with one step.

The video above, uploaded to YouTube by RobbWorld, shows four worked out examples of one-step equations.

Did you know?

Equations must always balance: What is on one side of an equation equals what is on the other side.

Before you learn algebra, the equal sign means "find the answer".  But in algebra, the equal sign means the left side equals the right side.
